The Nature Conservancy of Canada
The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) is Canada's largest land conservation charity, founded in 1962. Since its founding, NCC and its partners have protected 20 million hectares of land and water across Canada.
NCC's mission is to partner with individual donors, corporations, non-profits, and governments to protect areas rich in species diversity. The organization is guided by core values including durable conservation outcomes, evidence-based decision-making, respect for nature and people, and integrity in all its work. NCC works with local communities to identify habitat and species in need of protection, implementing the best evidence-based conservation science available.
Since 1962, the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) has brought people together to protect the lands and waters that sustain us all. As a leading environmental charity, NCC works hand in hand with communities, Indigenous Nations, governments, and businesses to deliver nature-based solutions at a scale no one else can.
By safeguarding clean air and water, storing carbon, and reducing the risks of floods and wildfires, NCC’s conservation efforts directly protect public health, strengthen local economies, and build more resilient communities. Guided by a commitment to durable outcomes, NCC is dedicated to preserving the natural systems that support Canadians today and for future generations.
NCC needed to effectively communicate the scope and significance of their conservation work across multiple provinces and ecosystems. That’s why they came to us to strategize and design a compelling annual report that could “say a lot with few words” and deliver a clear, engaging narrative for stakeholders and partners.

Our solutions
We developed a strategic approach that transformed how NCC presented its conservation projects. Recognizing that each project had key data points—geographic location, size in hectares, and the specific habitats or wildlife being protected—we created project snapshots that communicate impact at a glance.
Rather than relying on lengthy prose descriptions, these visual snapshots allow readers to quickly understand the scope and significance of each conservation effort, making the report more accessible and engaging while highlighting the impressive scale of NCC's work across Canada.

The payoff
With striking imagery of people on the landscape, clear project snapshots, and thoughtfully organized content, the report is both visually engaging and easy to navigate. Stakeholders and partners can now easily understand the scale of conservation that NCC undertakes in a single year, helping to build trust, inspire action, and showcase the tangible difference their support makes.
